FAQ

What is Harbour?

Harbour is Redruth’s brand new International Festival of Theatre. Celebrating stories of migration and sanctuary, it will showcase performances at venues across the town which celebrate the stories of sanctuary and the journeys that brought people to Cornwall.

Where is the Festival?

Our artist performances will be hosted at venues across Redruth, including The Buttermarket, St Andrew’s Church, The Ladder and the Auction House. Visit our Events pages to find out more and to book your tickets.

Accessibility & Safety Information

Visit the venue pages for specific accessibility information and please contact them directly to discuss any additional requirements you may have. Our aim is to be as inclusive and accessible as possible - please bear in mind that some of our venues may be listed buildings with limitations to accessibility improvements, so do check in advance.

Does this Event Cost Money?

We are offering a range of events throughout the festival - some of these are paid events and others will be free. You book your tickets for the event you wish to attend - you do not buy a ticket for the festival as a whole. Please refer to each event listing for ticket pricing options.

Is this a Family Event?

We are hosting over twenty different shows as part of the festival, and the age restrictions will differ from show-to-show. Please do check the specific event listing on our Box Office before you book to make sure this is appropriate for your group. Our festival will include some specific family-friendly events as part of the programme.

I have Questions. Who Should I Contact?

Please get in touch with us via email on hello@harbourfest.co.uk

What Rules Are There?

As a festival which embodies the welcoming spirit of Cornwall, we try not to have too many rules but as always, audience members should treat everyone with respect and courtesy.

What Accommodations Are Nearby?

Accommodation is not included as part of your festival experience, but we would encourage you to spend time with us and enjoy all that Redruth has to offer. It’s a good idea to book accommodation if you’re travelling from outside of the county and would like to see multiple shows.

Accommodation in the town we recommend includes:

  • Penventon Hotel
  • Trickies at the Tolgus inn
  • Inn For All Seasons
  • Lots of options on Airbnb

What Food Will Be There?

As we are an arts festival taking place on multiple dates in multiple venues, we do not have food vendors located in a central location as you’d experience at music festival. But we do encourage you to try out some of Redruth’s local pubs, cafes and restaurants while you’re here - grab a bite in between shows, or head out for a pre- or post-show drink while you’re in town.

We’d recommend the following places for food and drink:

  • Grow Box Cafe at Krowji - TR15 3AJ
  • Grow Box Shop in town - TR15 2BD
  • Gingers diner - TR15 2QB
  • Beats and Roots - TR15 2QE
  • Home Ground Coffee - TR15 2BP

How Do I Get Involved?

We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and dynamic volunteers between the 21st - 29th September. Keen to hear from you whatever your experience. If you are interested and available please drop victoria@riftexcursions.com an email for further information.
